If you're not willing to use that gun to get a few guys to push a broom or take out the trash, how do you know you'll have the guts to use it to blow away burglars, terrorists, atheists, revenuers, and other unsavory intruders? A girl in the Pennsylvania Outback who is too wimpy to put a warning shot over a few lazy relatives' heads once in a while to establish domestic ought to turn in her NRA card, move back to Philadelphia, and find some hairdresser named Albert (pronounced Al-Bear) to room with. He'll keep your house spotless and treat you to lattes on Rittenhouse.

I know the feeling I have teenagers as well a daughter 16 and a son 15, When my daughter lives with me she never wanted to do any chores but wanted money and wanted me to get things for her I had to say no more and tell her if she wants money then money does not grow on trees and she has to work for it. I advise her if she did chores then I would give her money for the chores she did. You can try this with your teenagers to see if it works. I know it is hard teenage years are always the difficult. Both, my kids live with thier father now which he has sticker rules than me. All I can say you moving out is not the answer that shows them they won they will try to push your buttons because they know what triggers you to get mad.

Well. I promise my wifey sex if she cleans the house. I hate the fact that I have to resort to this form of prostitution, but hey, whats a penguin supposed to do. As far as the kids. We want them to leave during this process.

The first Mrs. iggwad had OCD. Whenever we tried to help clean the house she would constantly yell at us that it was never done correctly. and she would turn around and clean it again. She saw dirt we didn't.

And if you think I'm making fun here, your wrong. I swear this is the truth.

Go on STRIKE!!! DO NOT do anything....A few days without meals being made might get their attention. After a week or two without their clothes being washed(if you can stand the smell) should get to them too. Now make sure you do all these things for yourself....Just not for them! They will notice. Tell them if they don't help,no food and no clean clothes.

If it were me, I would do my own laundry and not theirs. I would fix myself something to eat and not them. I would keep an area clean for myself and let the rest of the house go to pot.

Then when they start to complain I would tell them, well do your own stuff I am not your slave.

With my kids I make them do the laundry. I tell them straight out. You wear the clothes you wash the clothes. And the same with the trash, you make it you take it. (to the curb for pick up)

I refuse to clean their rooms and when it looks like hell I tell them I am going to get their friends to come over and see how you live.

You have to play hard ball if you want to get anywhere or they will take advantage of everything they can.

I'd tell my husband if he don't get off his lazy self we're not together anymore and then I'd whoop the kids or actually...I'd leave them all for awhile so that they'll HAVE to get off their lazy selfs. You should take a vacation (not with them with your friends from work or something) so maybe they're get smarter.
