Wiccans and Buddhists treat homosexual relationships like any other.
As for the Muslims, most muslin countries aren't as progressive as some parts of more developed countries and are often run by "fundamentalists." There's a lot less acceptance in those countries for those reasons. Any government that relies on power over the people to stay in business can't allow freedom of expression or else the people might rise up and overthrow the government. So, anyone that varies from some ideal is removed from society. Not all musims are against homosexuals, but many are raised to think that it is wrong and have nothing to go on but what they've been told, so that's what they think. Their governments are the ones doing the killings.

The Dakota view on homosexuals is open. We acknowledge them and they have a place in our traditional society. It is understood that the reason a person is BORN gay, is because, for some reason, twins were developing in the womb, and the female died, or stopped growing, and the male grew over her. This has been know to happen, as scientists have found remains of unborn fetus's in people. So the spirit, soul, or essence of the girl is trapped in the boy. He grows up like that. Why are so many homosexuals so talented in fasion, art and music? You would be too if you had twice the soul! However we still believe that gays should abstain, out of respect that the little girls soul is still juvenille. In our society the gay man was the only man who could go to sweat with the women, and they wrote and made the songs for people when they recieved they're indian name. Ours is not a reponse base on fear.

Various religions have differing views. Some accept it. Others do not accept it. I would sugget googling this subject. Some religions believe that only a man and woman can come together and complement God's image, which is male and female. Others believe that since two same sex persons cannot reproduce, that is why they oppose it. Ofcourse, there are views that can be quite the opposite of these for various reasons. These are just examples.

In many religions of the world as you have already read, homosexuality is met with expulsion, castration and even death. Muslims for example would stone to death an open homosexual. When Christians complain about Homosexuals, we still love the sinner, we just hate the sin.

Other religions are not so nice.

I know that Muslims condem it. I'm not entirely sure about Judaism, though. Wiccans and such do not condemn it. I believe there philosophy on that is live and let live.

aquadude15,
Muslims kill them. It's what they do. And realize that they, in order to do that, have to overthrow any government that says they cannot kill Homosexuals.

The best answer I can think of is just this.
If it were "right" then two men or two women could go off and have offspring by themselves. Procreation gives the answer. If it were right then it would work... It doesn't work so obviously it isn't.

Does it really matter? All that matters is what you believe.
