My laptop has the capability to write dvd's obviously, and i want the ability to move around to different tv's instead of just using one tv with a DVD Recorder.

Computers create a lot of interference if your planning on using on a normal antenna.
This makes for worst reception for tv. If getting cable signal that is a little bit different.

remember - you need hardware and software.
in other words, the stuff you shove into the laptop and the program to make it work.
