Adelaide is a very pretty city, and while it isnt as fast paced as say, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, it's still a good place to have a poke around.
Here are some things I enjoyed doing when there:
- Wander around the city centre of Adelaide. It isnt a fast paced, and rush rush rush as the aforementioned cities, and is still quite full of old colonial architecture and green parks. There are heaps of footpath cafe's to enjoy great coffee at in the city.
- Take the trip to Glenelg. You can hail a tram from central Adelaide at one of the designated stops and ride it all the way to the famous seaside town of Glenelg. It has a good, (normally) calm beach for swimming, a long pier to walk out along, and is full of cafe's, boutique stores, as well as second hand and arty stores. It only takes 30 mins from central Adelaide by tram.
- Visit the central market for some great food. Again, Adelaide is a paradise for food lovers. This central market is an enormous food market selling heaps of different varieties of cheese, wine, meat, seafood etc.etc. etc. It's pretty cheap as well. Cheaper than normal supermarkets for what Ive seen.
- Visit the Barossa Valley. You can get there from Adelaide, and it's full of wineries, farms and beautiful scenery.
- Visit the outback on an outback tour. In Adelaide, heaps of places offer single day through to week long trips to the outback including Coober Peddy. It's really worth the effort and cost if you get on a good tour.
- Finally, visit the Adelaide Cricket Ground. It's one of the most beautiful ones in Australia with views of the city scape from the hill. You can take tours of it, and make sure you visit the Sir Donald Bradman collection while there. (Undoubtedly the best batsman the game has ever seen FYI)
Hope that helps. Have fun.

i think of Adelaide will win. they're in very good variety on the 2nd, right time to stumble on it too. they're entering the section with an entire record and an prolonged wreck. Collingwood notwithstanding, have lost some vast names and are coming off in user-friendly terms a 6-day wreck. I anticipate Collingwood to return out firing yet you may ought to anticipate the comparable for the Crows. i think of they are able to verify the Pies. they have the appropriate forward line interior the finals, for my section. they are going to reason hardship for the Collingwood defence, and any group for that remember. Adelaide basically seem the extra effective section on paper, and except each thing is going incorrect for the Crows, i'm no longer able to be certain them dropping. Crows with the help of 30+

Apart from the worlds best wineries at McLaren Vale (30kms South) and Barrossa wineries (60Kms Nth East) you have they beautifull Hills district (eg:Clealand National Park or Hahndorf's Historic and beautiful Picturesque village) or surf sun and sand beaches like Glenelg, or snorkle and scuba diving at Noarlunga or even the wondefull scenic Fleurieu Penninsula. Dont even think of going to Kangaroo Island, unless you have atleast 3-4 days to see some of the most beautifull country around. If you have a few more weeks or longer, then get to the OUTBACK. A trip to CooberPedy is DEFINATELY worth the trouble...You're only then starting to scratch the surface of some of the beautiful best kept secrets of SA.
