The person works in retail sales, and may be jeopardizing their job, without knowing it. This person is an aquaintance, and I would like to give advise or offer help, but I don't know how to do it without hurting their feelings. What should I do?

just broach the subject and say something like, "I always like to have a mint, just to be on the safe side, I'd hate to find out to late that my breath wasn't as fresh as it could be."

Try by giving them a gift. Of mints or toothbrush's or stuff like that. To make it seem nicer give the same stuff to other friends or such. Maybe they'll take the hint. Otherwise sometimes being blunt is the best approach.

For this, i think its best for you to tell him/her the truth...since your are his/her friend...you wouldnt want other to talk bad or worst, tell them straight on the face that they have bad breath odor and embarrased them right in front of people? I think this is the best for your friend... tell him/her not to feel abd about it because this is common and make sure you explain to them that you only want to help and let them know... or if you think you dont have the heart to tell them yet, offer them sweets or mints for the time being...

yicks well that is a hard one it could be dental or stomach problems giving them bad breathe you know... not just them not brushing their teeth so i dont know how you want to approach this do you have insurance at work? Dental and Health Insurance? you may want to just suggest as a friend that they get that checked out to see that they dont have some major problem going on you know what i mean if you put it in those kind of terms it kind of sweetens the pot a little.... ; ) and gives them a hint

Offer them a breath mint. They may have a medical condition that causes bad breath that can't be helped. Be nice and discrete

"Hey, I'm not trying to offend you or anything, but someone earlier made a bit of a rude comment about your breath. I set them straight, but you may want to look into it because if that keeps coming up and the manager heres about it, you could get some crap handed to you."
*To be said in a friendly, but concerned manner*
