Some things to keep in mind:
1) It is impossible to target fat to burn - what you can do, however, is strengthen the muscles beneath the body fat, which generally makes things look better (and it's better for you, anyway).
2) Muscle is more dense than fat. As you begin a weight training program, you may notice that you lose inches but gain weight. No worries - that means you're building muscle. You'll see why this is good if you scroll down to point number three...
3) Muscle boosts your metabolism because it uses more nutrients than fat. Thus, building muscle will help you lose fat faster - sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Now, onto the plan!

You should try to jog/run 30 minutes a day if you can. Don't go fast - this isn't a sprint. If you find that 30 minutes is too long and you can't do that, then no big deal. You now have a Goal. Try to at least keep moving for 30 minutes...walking is fine.

If you have access to an elliptical machine, that's a good alternative.

In either case, as you get stronger/faster/better, add time and (on a machine) resistance. If you're running, grab those two- or three-pound weights or cans of beans. You'd be surprised how much harder it is (bonus: You tone your arm muscles just lugging them around for a few miles).

If you have access to a gym, take a day off from running once or twice a week to begin a weight-lifting program. Most health clubs will give you one training session with a personal trainer who will berate you and make you feel worthless. Usually, the first one is free, so it's OK. If you want to feel like crap again, it'll cost you - but you probably don't need to see that old meanie-head again, because he or she will have just put you through a full-body muscle-building workout. And that's what you'll want to do. Work your way through exercises for chest, arms, back, and legs, though not necessarily in that order - whatever works for you.

If you don't feel like joining a gym, go to McDonald's. Why? Because they have a series of four (free!) DVDs with exercise regimens on them, one each for strength, cardio, core (abs and lower back) and yoga. If they don't have them, you can find them on eBay for about 5 bucks each.

Adopt a healthy (or at least healthier) diet - cut out all sodas, even diet sodas. And switch, if you haven't already, to unsweetened fruit juices. Allow yourself a few treats every now and again just so you don't feel like you've changed your entire life just to lose 5 pounds, because that will only depress you.

The key, in the end, isn't necessarily weight loss or muscle gain or whatever. It's feeling like you've taken control of your body, which is what you're really going for.

well, just use common sense on this one. Cutting out extra calories where you can and exercising to burn more.
Cut out ALL junk food-chips, candy, soda etc. If you buy your own food (not your parents-don't know how old you are) raid the cabinets and throw away the junk so you don't even have the option.
Do the little things like use skim milk. Eat white meat, not dark.
Eat less. For example, eat a half sandwich at a time instead a whole. When you go to a restaurant order the smaller portion size.
Drink a ton a water. I mean a LOT. You will feel much fuller quicker and eat less. Drink water between bites too.
Also, use a scale. I know a lot of people say not to, but it works for me. Keeps me in check and tells me if I am on the right track.
I Iost 10 lbs quickly this way (mainly exercise and cutting out junk food). The common sense approach really works!

If you did 30mins-1hr of fast-paced walking or jogging along with light weight lifting, drinking half of your weight in oz. of water per day-(ex:120lbs=60oz water), and if you stuck to a healthy low carb diet . You could definitely tone up and drop some pounds!

Some healthy foods to eat are:

Carbohydrates- Lettuce, Broccoli, Asparagus, Celery, Sweet Potatoes, apples, bananas, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, steel cut oatmeal.

Protein- Egg whites, Low Cal/Fat protein powder, Chicken Breasts, Salmon, Halibut, Lean Ground Turkey Breast.

Fats- Avacados, Almonds (Raw), Peanut Butter

Remember to portion your meals. Fist sized for each portion. Don't starve yourself, you will end up gaining more weight afterwards. Your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto anything it can and store it as FAT. Eat about 4-5 small meals a day.

I learned this trick. Let's say you want to weigh 120lbs. then you add a zero to the and of that number and that is how many calories you should take in per day. So that would mean 1200 calories for the day.

It's not about how much you weigh but how good you look and feel. It also takes dedication and discipline. I hope you do it the right way! You'll feel accomplished and proud afterward!

I dont know if u have noticed but most israelis are fit and skinny. eat a good breakfast- healthy-fruit raisan bran, special k, etc eat ur dinner as ur lunch- such as chicken, rice, or baked potato- which is very good for you and a vegetable, in btwn meals have fruits and veggies- and for dinner make it lite like u would have for lunch its a very good way to lose weight fast. If you do this- and add in at least 30 min of full excersize- cardio or aeriobics, following the meal plan u should be fine with losing as much weight as u want. Make sure u do it rite to be strong and healthy. If u need any more help feel free to ask.

a couple of people said ww which is just faboo, its all mind over matter. You put your mind into it you will lose weight, it doesn't matter where you go to lose the weight, its all about you. I would recommend a hobby that will keep you busy from eating at times that you dont really feel hungry, and go enjoy the outdoors for a stroll in the park or just around your neighborhood. Small steps make big returns.

500 calories equals 1 pound
So you have to eat less calories
If your a WOMAN normally your suppose to eat 1800calories max in one day to keep your weight stable
If your a MAN normally your suppose to eat 2500caloriesmax in one day.
EXAMPLE: 1peanut butter toast is around 250calories
1 glass of milk around 100 calories
2 cookies 150 calories

1chocolate bar around 250cal
1sugarpie piece aroung 500cal
1can (250ml)of PEPSI or COKE 250cal
1beer (regular size bottle)300 cal

Your mission is to cut 500cal a day + 45 minutes of exercize

That is a lot of weight to lose in less than 30 days. If you do lose the weight, it won't be healthy and it won't stay off. You would be better off going to Weight Watchers (weightwatchers.com) and losing as much as possible, exercising as well, drinking your water, and I promise you, you will be well on your way, feeling much better and looking better while knowing that your body is happy with what you have decided. Good Luck!

Make sure you have a decent breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. Drink lots of water and make sure you include fibre in ur diet. try having just fruit for tea. walking is really good, especially if u can't jog for long. If you can get a friend to walk with you it will help keep you motivated. hope this helps sweetie
