During Vietnam brave people stood up to what was happening. Why are the media not showing what I hope are the protests that I believe are happpening in the USA- like to think that others are repelled from the actions of the USA's administration and if enough pressure is there, then change may happen

The Romans had an empire, they then settled in england. there was then a british empire. Aroung this time then english settlers moved to america and the founding fathers were of english descent. So you could read into it that the bloodline has continued. America has an empire over the world but not built with whips and slaverly but economically and "democratically". its all part of the new world order" and the people in charge are the freemasons, who are descendants of the knight templars who crusaded back in the day. In summary, these are the same people in charge as were 2000 years ago. All that has changed is the time. So yes, American politicians do think they are the new romans coz its probably written in their genetic code.

What you say about the Nam era is true, but it took a few years to brew, then really blew up after the Police had one of their cop riots on the campus of U Wisconsin/Madison. They went into a peaceful sit in and just smashed heads with billy clubs. Much of this was motivated by the cops resentment of the students status as well. They thought the students saw themselves as "better" than the non-college educated police there. Then later there were riots by armed Nat'l. Guardsmen who actually murdered student at Kent State.
These kinds of events REALLY got people angry and really pushed the public over the top against the Nam war. I don't think the people here are at the boiling point yet, and certainly everyone is hoping not to see that kind of civil unrest again.
But we're getting there, aren't we?

First, The American legislature is based on the Roman Senate. They even hold their sessions in a Roman style building.

Second, There are protests all over the U.S against the war. They get no media coverage becuase the media is owned by the same companys that produce the war machine. Why would they portray the ills of war??? Its bad for business.

the west are not facing a fictitious enemy, have you never heard of Islamic fundamentalists who would all love to rape our 'whores' and watch us burn in our beds.
i like to think I'm fair minded and if i thought bush , Blair and the others were only warmongering then i would honestly say so, but i think that it would be foolish of us to underestimate just how much a large part of the Islamic world hate what we stand for.

i imagine you have a fairly free life with choices and a voice with which to speak, do you really want to experience the opposite.
we must stand our ground now, we must let these terrorising bastards know that we wont accept the shackles they want to beat us with.
western freedom v. Taliban type brainwashing...i know who's side I'm on!

There is no comparison between Vietnam and the present.
Does it matter if the Americans are the new Romans, as long as they do their best against terrorists and terrorist regimes?Personally, I think that they should try harder.

Maybe Americans politicians think that they're puppeteers, making other countries' politics like puppets on strings.
