We don't wanna be rich. We wanna be financially free. We don't wanna be rich, we wan recognition, love, fame, self-esteem so we think that by being rich we can achieve that but that's all an illusion.

Because it would allow them to buy things which they believe would make them happy. It won't. But I also think it would be much more fun being rich and miserable than poor and miserable!

It's very important that a person prosper on the inside before he attains monetary wealth, or he won't enjoy his riches anyway.

People always want to control others, always want to possess everything. Hence their mind worries about gaining and losing, their anxieties and afflictions can never come to an end. This type of life is miserable indeed.

everyone thinks life becomes better when ur rich

2006-09-03 22:22:50 · answer #7 · answered by mememe 2 · 0 0

because they think it is good

they simplistically think: money is good, so more money is better

money is good, but more money is worse

here's why

fairpay satisfies all needs and almost all desires, so there is just very little that overpay can add to happiness -

whereas, on the other hand, overpay increases danger in proportion to the overpay -

so, at first, more money than fairpay adds a tiny bit of extra pleasure and a little extra danger, but the extra pleasure per added dollar declines very rapidly as pleasures are all satisfied, but the danger, from having more money than others who are working equally hard, continues to grow - so very quickly the downside exceeds the upside - the upside quickly reaches zero, the downside just increases - quality of life and safety decline, cost of security, and danger of failure of security increase and increase [ceausescu]

by overpay i mean: when you are getting out of society more than you put in by your work - work makes products, money buys products - if someone takes out more than they put in, others have to get out less than they put in by making products

the danger of overpay comes not just from having more money but from having money [products] that others have made - which is theft - which increases the anger and violence

plus the overpay is overpower ie, tyranny, exploitation, ie more stealing, more abuse of human rights, which increases the anger again

so any gain from overpay is cancelled out by increase of danger, decrease of unity and friendliness with community, and the gain quickly falls to nothing, with rapidly diminishing returns, because almost all desires are already satisfied - and danger increases proportional to overpay - the more you steal, the more enemies, the greater the likelihood of some failure of security, with terrible consequences

plus, the more overpaid, the more underpaid others are, and the worse your world is - more disease, more ignorance, less science, more dirt, more crime, etc

there is a limit to a person's productivity, and yet we allow unlimited fortunes - the most that a person can put into society is under US$2 million [see proof among my other answers] and yet we have fortunes up to US$50 billion

major overpay, major underpay, major theft, producing major violence - which is escalating rapidly towards nuclear extinction

1% get 90% of world income - and do less than 1% of the work - ie, 1% steal almost all money, and steal human peace and happiness, and human future

which is no good for anyone, however rich

so selfearned money is all good, however much it is - because you are just putting more in and taking more out - no theft, no deprivation, no anger, no violence, no escalation

but when income gets into otherearned money, then it is bad in proportion to size - theft, deprivation, anger, violence, escalation

thus it is love of overpay, other-earned money, which is injustice and theft, that is the root of virtually all our troubles

thus we can destroy virtually all our troubles [problems, distresses, crises, war, crime] by destroying overpay [injustice, theft, deprivation]

we have super extreme overpay and underpay - so we can be super extremely happier

besides, 99% of people are underpaid, so they would also be getting more money - more money that they have earned

if the overfortunes [theft] are returned to its earners and creators by their work, every family in the world will get another US$70,000 a year - plus the lump sum of the overfortunes, the backlog of theft

and there will be peace - and no escalation of violence - and no danger of extinction soon

the overpaid will be better off: much less danger, and very little less pleasure - the underpaid will of course be better off - more money, no tyranny, no slavery, no violence, better food, better health, better education, etc, etc

imagine a small community of 10, and a wicked imp takes all the money of 9 and gives it to the 10th - the 9 are worse off, lacking money and having the violence of trying to get it back, and having the oppression of the 10th [money is power] - the 10th is worse off: very little extra pleasure, much greater danger, the loss of the friendship and companionship and trust of the community, the enmity of the community, the endless costs of the violence and danger

since 99% of people are underpaid, 99% will be keen to have justice - which will give such an overwhelming majority as to make the change easy without conflict or struggle - and the 1% also gain enormously

every family get another US$70,000 a year, get world peace and friendliness and safety, avoid climaxing the violence in nuclear winter, save the overpaid from danger and suffering and isolation - youd think people would go for it bigbig

but they dont - so i have to suspect brainwashing - talk about this to people and they just switch off, say nothing, and walk away - they dont want to know - they only have to spread the message, tell two of their friends - that is the only cost, the entire downside - no big change to society, just a few laws, no struggle, no violence, world peace and firendliness, safety, no extinction looming, and another US$70,000 a year

capitalism + justice = peace and plenty

and no one even wants to discuss it as a possibility - no one is the least bit excited by the idea - although it makes sense to everyone - everyone works, everyone get paid, no one gets hurt

so it has to be brainwashing, doesnt it?

some of those secret nazi propaganda techniques that came into america at the end of the war? - subliminal suggestion on tv and film?

how to explain no one going for something with such a tiny downside and such an enormous upside?

tell me why YOU are not excited

or try to explain to yourself why you are not excited - i dont think you will be able to
