I'm 20yrs and have already completed my general education courses. I find that having an education is important; specifically one in business accounting and finance. However, I'm also working as a loan officer assistant and plan to start doing my own loans part-time....thus I find that an online education is my only recourse.

*ANY SUGGESTIONS

*IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE UNIOFPHOENIX DO YOU KNOW OF OTHER ONLINE SCHOOLS (you have to name a specific school that offers a business finance and or accounting otherwise I will report you and your answers will be removed)

UofP is a very good online school. They are accredited in all 50 states and offer plenty of online programs. They also have something like 15k students at campuses and online.

U of P is a pathetic joke. It is a for profit corporation, not an institution for higher learning. This is why its only admission standard is the ability to pay one's tuition and why it has to pander to its lowest common denominator.

Its business curriculum is a dumbed down version of that of REAL schools. In my company, we stopped interviewing people w/ "degrees" from places like that because they never have more than an introductory level of knowledge- & even that is often lacking.

If you want a business education that meets minimum standards, then you have to go to a school with a business program that has its AACSB accredidation- the u of p does not have this. You can find a list of these schools at http://www.aacsb.edu/accreditation/AccreditedMembers.asp

These days, many real universities offer degrees that you can get online in whole or in part. & the number of schools offering online MBAs online has exploded. Go down the list of schools that have their AACSB. When you find one that you might be interested in, check out its website. Just remember that you will only get out what you put in- this means making sacrifices such as attending a real program.

However, since your goal is to only become a mortgage broker, you don't need much depth in your level of finance/accounting knowledge. Thus, the u of p should suffice for your needs.

I'm earning my 2 points because I would not want to use you as my mortgage broker by threatening to report people if you don't like a particular answer.

UofPhoenix is a good school for your plans.
