Already I am sick of seeing skinny jeans! I refuse to buy them. The simple fact remains, no matter who you are, your butt is going to look big. It just is. Also I find the whole baggy shirt, coupled with a loose belt with skinny jeans, rather frumpy looking and unflattering to the figure. So, why are so many flocking like sheep toward this hideous look?

Excuse me miss, I am a fashion researcher and former fashion designer and I am here to tell you that skinny jeans are not part of the the 80's glam look! No no no! They are a flash back to the classic, timeless look of the 1930's, especially when worn with cute ballet flats. Very adorable. Of course, this look only works for those of us who are slim and have a smaller butt, hence the name "skinny jeans". Yes, I agree with you that are very unflattering to chubbier women, but they are extremely flattering to people with skinny, toned legs and butt.
You are probably confusing skinny jeans with the ugly, high-waisted tapered jeans worn in the 80's. These made everyone's butt look huge because of their large pockets and high waists, which gave the illusion of a long butt.
But I do agree with you on the 80's glam look being quite repulsive! Baggy, long tunic shirts are quite unflattering and do nothing for any body shape (they make both thin and overweight people look larger than they really are). Wearing belts over clothing, I am happy to say, will soon come to an end in the fashion world! Hooray! I also despise chunky, bright-colored jewlery. Gross, go for a set of classic pearls over those nasty pieces. Pompador hairstyles are probably the only 80's style I like, but that is probably just because it first came into style in the 1950's. Oh and I also adore Lacoste polos.

I know I am fabulous!

I so dont know how girls can feel comfortable in skinny jeans, what I dont like is the stretchy pants under a mini skirt? Next the slouch socks will be cool. I have yet to see this style for men what about you.
