If I were going to choose a candidate for the republican party I would take a close look at Elizabeth Dole.
She is former president of the Red Cross, wife of former senate republican leader Robert Dole and is currently senator of North Carolina.
This is in not an endorsement for Dole. I would not support her candidacy in the election.

They need someone else. I don't think McCain has pandered to the far right enough to come out of the primaries strong, and Frist has baggage that will catch up to him.
Additionally, the candidate ought to be a governor, not a senator, otherwise they'll have to deal with anti-congressional feelings in the electorate. There's some dark-horse governor out there that we haven't heard from yet. I'd say that's their best chance (and it worked for Clinton)
Or this guy, he could work too:

Giuliani is the final candidate. McCain is a populist and is misguided on all the themes the GOP is physically powerful on and incorrect on all the themes the Dems are top on. Giuliani is professional decision and for gay rights. McCain actually would not decide to diminish taxes (some thing any conservative or libertarian republican might desire to cringe at) and desires to alter how human beings play baseball...

John McCain looks like the best choice at this time. If the dummcyrats run Hillary McCain will win in a landslide.

1st up I think it would be stupid to elect another Republican and unless you know the difference between the 2 parties or unless you already have money you wouldn't vote for a Republican. They are backed mostly by big business and they want to keep their money and the working class is always the last to reap the rewards. So unless you are rich then vote Democrat

Condoleezza Rice
I would love to see her and Hilary Clinton run against each other. That would eliminate the male chauvinist pig attitude that a woman could not be president.

George Allen will probably get the nomination. I think the least likely to be nominated is McCain. Whoever is nominated will face Hillary Clinton.
