Dozens. Here's the top half-dozen.

** Democrat (liberal socialist) -- big govt, big spending, heavy on the social programs (welfare, foreign aid), heavy on business regulation, weak on defense, leans toward the liberal side on other issues.
** Liberal -- strong on personal/civil liberties, strong on charity work, strong protection for the environment, opposed to govt regulation, prefer local defense to overseas efforts, progressive on social issues
** Republican (new-conservative) -- big govt, big deficit spending, low taxes on business, opposes business regulation, heaving conservative on social issues, often strongly religious
** Fiscal Conservative -- small govt, balanced budget, low taxes for everyone, minimal business regulation, prefers traditional values/structures, strong regulation of personal activities where the affect society
** Libertarian -- minimal govt, balanced budget, low taxes, strong on personal liberties, opposes personal or busines regulation (http://www.lp.org)
** Green -- mid-sized govt, strong on evironmental issues, strong of social justice and social programs

These are the most prevalent current ideologies.
