The United States Post Office is closed on Federal Holidays- that includes Labor Day.

There are some grocery stores (at least where I live) that have operate as a Post Office.They will take your package and ship it for you, (only domestic shipments) but it will not go out until the next day.

You may have to wait until Tuesday to ship your item.

Yes. The Post Office is always closed on Federal Holidays. No mail is delivered or picked up. And the Banks are closed as well.

Yes, but there might be a major post office that's open. I live near a sorting center, and it's open on evenings and Sunday. If not, you might be able to ship something using the automatic machine that weighs and prints a postal label using your credit card.
