Reliable is something you can depend on always happening. It can be used, "My cat is so reliable, one minute after I sit down it scratches to come in" or "The news is so reliable, everyday at 6 o'clock it is on".

Trustworthy is something you can believe in. For example, "My father is so trustworthy. I can tell him a secret and he'll never tell." or "The news is trustworthy. They only report the facts and are always accurate."

Reliable means you could rely on him. if you have a shop and have some one working for you and he is good ,you go vacation and leave him running the business, he is good at work and reliable.trustworthy. means if some one is trustful . cant stab you in the back cant steel you.you can trust him with your valuable things.
