YES, it opens all the possibilities. Whenever someone says YES you can do it! It's short, sweet, and easy to spell (and yes I have spelled NO as "on" before). It is the most positive word in the English language. It can cover any positive situation. It can be formal and informal and conveyed in any language with a simple nod of the head. It is the word of acceptance and of permission. It is also one of the few single words that can form a complete sentence.
