Give it a go, there is nothing wrong with dating outside your race. It still amazes me that this question is still being asked in this day and age. Just be sure this is what you are comfortable with before going out with him. It would be mean of you if you went out with him only to back out in regards to a race issue.

There is nothing wrong with dating outside your race. If he treats you with respect and gives his love to you, then I say go for it! Do you feel funny because others may be looking at you? Get over it! It's none of their business. And truthfully once the family likes you, you're in. I don't limit myself to just black men. There are lots of guys of different races i see as potential partners. The only problem i received was from my mama. My best friend's white and she told me to be careful because you never know what could happen. I understand where she's coming from due to the fact that she grew up during the civil rights movement and hanging out with a different race is uneard of. But she did not hold that against me growing up. But I was not part of that generation and I am totally comfortable with the opposite race. So do what you feel is best. Maybe yall should start out as friends. Learn about each other first. Hopefully from there a wonderful relationship will bloom. Get him girl!

Well, ask him how he feels; maybe he feels funny about it too. Or maybe if he does he feels weird for different reasons.
You could try just being friends for a while, &maybe trying the dating thing a little later when it feels right.
Just make sure you express your feelings, I know that sounds wierd but communication is really important to a successful relationship.
That, and a lot of times it`s your "woman`s intuition." Which is something you should always go with.
The purpose of love is supposed to make you feel great in ways you never imagined before, so if you feel weird about it at all; that`s not what is supposed to happen.
A lot of times, you`ll just know when it`s right.

Not really. Actully there is nothing wrong about a black girl dating a white boy. It may look like an odd couple but its perfectly ok for a black girl dating a white boy.

There nothing wrong to date outside your race. Its very very very common in certain countries which are multiracial, for instance, Malaysia where inter-racial marriage is common. The product of these marriage most of the time proves to be very very smart and handsome/pretty if the mix is right.
However, like as love issues, please don't play with anyones' feelings if your not ready to get involved in a relationship, you'll end up hurting someone. As you know, what goes around comes around.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it... most white boys think that a visit to the black house with the pink curtains is a wonderful thing... at least I do

There's nothing wrong. But be prepared to get glares and stares. Society norms haven't really accepted these interracial relationships. If you just want to be friends and don't feel right, you're justified in informing him so he doesn't build his hopes too high.

Wish I could find a nice, black lady who would like to date a white guy. Go for it, Baby.

It is entirely up to you & nobody else who you date. It's none of anyone's business. If you are going to be embarrassed or ashamed to be seen with him, worrying about what other people will think then don't do it because it would be mean to do that to him.

Lucky guy. But then, you're holding all the cards and it's not looking too good for him in the way you posed the question.
