Do you mean since the 1900's? or in recent times?
Australian music has become very Americanised since the 1950's but recently we have been producing great local talent such as Jet, Wolfmother and the Veroncia's.
Early in the century, the music was very folky and all Waltzing Matilda, Botany Bay and Click go the shears. Slowly it became more mainstream with the rest of the world with the introduction of rock and roll (Australian johnny o'keefe was our answer to Elvis).

Can you see the difference? Music is better today.I can't wait to see what the next ten years brings..."aaaaaAAAARRRRGGHHHH MotherF#CKER I left my home on EARTHHHH,for the shores of ALPHA CENTAURI, I wanna break you like a recently cloned Tasmanian Tiger yaaaaaaaaaahhhh!.
