i have had two miscarriages and extensive blood work. the result, lovenox sub q 40mg (injections) daily and will continue until i deliver and then some. has anyone else had this experience, and if so was it a successful pregnancy? i do my own injections but still get a little uneasy about it. any advice?

I found a easy to understand webpage on this for you:

I have not had this experience but I am an OB nurse and have had patients with clotting disorders or other disorders who needed heparin or lovenox daily. This mutation increases your risk for DVTs and pulmonary embolisms. Also the clotting can prevent blood flow to the placenta resulting in miscarriage, thus you are getting the lovenox.

There are people who have done this and had successful pregnancies, however if taking blood thinners you are at an increased risk for bleeding and need to be monitored throughout the pregnancy, delivery and recovery.

Good luck!

You are missing one of the chemicals/or the ability to produce prothrombin in your clotting mechanism chain. The injections are keeping you safe and getting you through your pregnancy in case of any chance of bleeding...keep your chin up momma!!!! :-)
