I think they should. Upon deciding what answer is the best, it should be clear to all why it was chosen over the others. Thats a great question!

Exactly. Are you reading my mind? Why ask a question, choose a best answer and NOT tell the person WHY you thought their answer was best. NOT to mention, why would you pass up the points by not choosing a best answer at ALL.

If it makes you that upset that people don't tell you why they chose your answer for best answer, then I'll just be sure to never pick your answer! It's 10 points, so you should be happy.

I think that would be a courtesy, but not always necessary.

Yea, I would like to know why my answer made them think " thats the best answer". They either rate it or they just say thanks.

hi, i agree with you. i think they should do it just for courtesy. it doesn't cost anything.
