Honey, I think that a woman ought to wear whatever
makes her happy. Second wedding, third...fifteenth, it doesn't matter. Be it a full-scale, 'princess fantasy' wedding in a cathedral, attended by three hundred of her closest friends and familly, or a very simple service performed at the county courthouse, a wedding is a notable event that will be remembered for years to come. The days of a questionable color choice being a social faux-pas are long gone. I admire you for opting for a red dress - and I bet you looked and felt beautiful! My sister-in-law had a very elegant theme for her beach-front wedding. She wore an ivory, strapless gown with a wide lavendar ribbon cinching the waist - her bridesmaids wore black cocktail dresses, with the same ribbon detail...which matched the groomsmens neckties. It was a very tasteful - all tuxedos, silk dresses and tropical flowers, with the ocean and setting sun as the background. It wasn't until the reception that we found out that she was wearing pink, Chuck Taylor, canvas basketball shoes that her sister had painstakingly decorated with multi-colored rhinestones and glitter...something old turned into something new.
Fabulous!

I think technically you're not supposed to wear white after you've been married once, but that doesn't rule out creams, off-whites, etc. I think color at a wedding is nice.

If I were to marry again, I would not wear white.
