I am 13 years old and am a seventh grader. I want to play wrestling, but i've never played before. Yet I've done judo,which is similar to wrestling for the past 6 years. is that good enough?

first off you dont play wrestling, you wrestle, 2nd of course you can everyone has to start somewhere. the truth is most people start in either middle school or high school. The coaches will teach you everything you need to know and your judo background will help you out a lot with throws and takedowns. i coach high school wrestling and most of our freshman have no experience at all but by the time they graduate they are very good wrestlers

i did judo for 3 years and i have wrestled for 9 years
i am going into highschool
you can join but you migh not do good at first cause in judo its okay (sometimes) to go on your back in wrestling no.... judo you also wear a gi...wrestlers dont...judo you do mostly throws...wresling you learn about 5...judo you do no takedowns ... thats all you do in wresling
i say you should join... its never too late to start...dont give up
you will be a descent wrestler by the time you get into highschool

You don't play wrestling, you just wrestle and as fine of a disipline as Judo is, it isn't like wresting. The throws as well as being powerful from your back won't last long, infact they will last about 3 seconds with shoulder blades touching.

yep l think judo is good enough to make you qualify as a young wrestler lt's like another version of wrestling

Yeah im pretty sure it is Wrestling is a simple sport its about takedowns if you know how to do that then your finer than Candice Michelle
