It's in Mira Mesa where I live. I don't know where you're coming from---
From the 15 freeway exit at Mira Mesa Blvd, turn north on Black Mountain Rd. Turn right on Galvin, then look for an opening on the left--thats Ice Skate Pl, but it doesn't look like a street, it looks more like a parking lot. Go on in and the building is on the north side of the parking lot.
What's near it?
Right around it are a bunch of houses, it's just in a residential area. But by the Mira Mesa Blvd exit off the 15 there are a lot of things.
On the south side is a shopping center that has a theatre, Barnes and Noble, and a lot of good places to eat. Over by the Albertson's shopping center there's Rubios Fish tacos, Jamba Juice and Cold Stone Creamery On the north side is a Best Buy, and a shopping center with a Ralphs grocery store. There's also an In and Out which is a very popular hamburger joint. No matter what time you go there it's busy!

There is the one in UTC - but I came across an ice rink I didn't know existed last month.
North off Mira Mesa Blvd - long street - big deep down and back up. Don't know the name of the street. If you know where El Torritos is - it is north of there. Off the long street to the east there is an ice arena. In the middle of a neighbor hood. Must have been there forever. Hope this helps. Maybe call El Torritos or somewhere over there and ask them. There were signs on that long street I keep mentioning. Sorry.
