I've read them all, and I LOVED the Baroque cycle...I think you will like it a lot if you are in to history. If you liked Cryptonomicon because of all the technical details, you may not like these books. However, if you just like how much information you take away with you, you will like them.

I haven't read it yet, but I have read Crytponomicron, and Snow Crash. I have the whole System Of The World series... Quicksilver, Confusion, and System Of The World. If they are half as good as Crytponomicron... it will still kick butt.

I've read it. I found the historical stuff about science and economics to be fascinating. And the action was wild. Quite an adventure.
