I take what I see and hear with a grain of salt. I try to find an unbiased site to get my news from. Also news message boards are another good place to get other opinions.

Mainstream media tell the truth I don't think so. One must search out information from various sources these sources should be both liberal and conservative. Opinion pieces are just that someone else's opinion. You should use radio, TV, newspapers and the Internet. Once you have done the research than you can form your own opinion and will not need anyone else.

Honestly, I rely on main-stream media far too much. I "try" to find other news sources, in addition to CNN, Fox News, NBC News, etc. I listen to some NPR and Pacifica. I try to listen to/watch Democracy Now and I.N.N. World Report. The Internet provides many good news sites, which aren't so main-stream and cooperate-controlled. I also like BBC News. I wish I was fluent in a foreign language like French or Dutch, so I could hear news from their perspectives. I'm especially suspect about main-stream US news, when it comes to Israel-Palestine and the greater Middle-East. I believe that there is strong pro-Israeli/Zionist influence in main-stream US news coverage.

No, I don't just believe something because CNN, Fox, ABC,...etc say it's so. They've all made mistakes before. I switch channels a lot when big news is breaking to see what everyone is reporting. I also check out news sites on line.
