Putting aside slavery (which blacks were some of the biggest slavers) and the voting act, I believe that blacks bring on their own misery. Too many promote the wrong values to their kids (rap, baby mama's, bling and fractured English) and these values are rejected by most of society. People like Bill Cosby who do speak out about the black community in order to help the black community is seen as an Uncle Tom or a sell-out. I respect Black's right to preserve their culture but the culture they are promoting is holding them back. As far as blacks treating each other badly, I see that being done by people like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton, these guys are nothing more than poverty pimps that make a living on the back of poor black people. If I were black the first thing I would do is stop voting Democratic, push for equal opportunity through school vouchers and look for more positive role models.

give me a break. with race whores like Jesse Jackson. and AL sharpton. they have all the pandering they need. they live on victim status. and are looking for handouts. some break out of the mold. but for the most part the culture is worthless

ummm....tricky question. I don't like the fact however that some of them use the "n" word between them but are afterwards telling us that it's derogatory. What's that word again?!....hypocrite!
