I have this same problem as I want to move to TX from IL (I also work in daycare). Talk to them, explain the situation, and have enough money for a plane ticket for interviews. I haven't tried this as I am a long way from being able to move, but I do plan to do this procedure when I am ready even if it is a little bold. Find the ones that are hiring and tell them your situation and that you will be in town and can you please set up an interview. Base your date of travel off the first one that accepts this proposal and try to get at least three set up, to make it worth while. Take this time to look at apts as well. Another thing that you may have to do, is save up enough money for you to be able to live unemployed for a few months and then find the job when you get out there. Either route, keep the communication open with the employers. Good Luck to you!!! If you try setting up the interviews, email me and let me know if it works for you. thanks.

Call up their HR departments ( or the equivalant) and ask! Gotta take the bull by the horns and pull!
