That garbage over overflowing, and covering the world is another lie.
Its a feelgood thing to do nothing more.
yes I know, you dont want to beleive it cause its everywhere and is a pretty embarrasing thing to bring up in the open and anounce it. Yes it creates some jobs for ppl, but at the cost of the environment.

Yes, I throw out 8 bags of trash per week and have one bag of recyclables.

Now two trucks come down the street using gas and spewing their fumes.

Not to mention the water (I read it was much more than used to make the item new) and energy used to convert them back into something useful.

No, I did not know that! Thanks for the heads up...I always suspected that the time & energy to recycle was ambiguous at best.
There will probably be a few to disagree & it's easy to see that the 'industry' of recycling will argue that it's still good. I can see the way the trash is picked up by different trucks that it's probably much more trouble than it's worth!;-)

If RECYCLING is useless, then I am not a millionaire several times over, just from recycling! I also have made a business plan that will help one become a millionaire in less than 7 years.
This business plan tells you how to get starting in recycling, where to buy materials, where to sell them etc. There is a worldwide market out there.

So Stay POOR......You are the Worthless ONE! lol

well, regardless of the veracity of this statement, the fact is, even WITH recycling, anything plastic you use will be around for another minimum 10,000 years. but hey, its convenient. and it'd be slightly more expensive to use something else right? (in truth the profit margins are higher on this and the embracing of a new industry model, while in reality more likely the better all around long-term choice, both fiscally and environmentally, involves risk, which captains of industry just won't entertain because hey, there's no reason for them to. especially with an undereducated public)

I knew that. I also know that if you don't let the masses think that they are doing something about the future of their DNA, they tend to revolt. Recycling isn't just a lie, it's another leg holding up the idea of perpetual consumption growth.

Then how do you explain that most coffee cups are made of 100% RECYCLED paper? Or that cardboard is usually made from...well...other cardboard. But do you seriously think that recycling's BAD for the environment?

You must be a republican.

aluminum cans, glass and some plastics are ok for recycling.
Paper is an utter waste of time and materials, it requires twice the resources to recycle paper than to simply harvest more.

I agree with you. It just make people feel good to recycle. It really doesn't do anything for the environment.

Let me guess, are you typing this from your SUV? Do you also believe that alternative fuels are a waste of time, and that air pollution is not actually a problem? Do you think that CO2 emissions are just a lie that hippie tree-huggers made up because they were stoned and had nothing better to do?
