I have been having absolutely strange dreams lately. There was a traveling carnival with games, clowns, mimes and rides. The carnival was at the river's edge. Everyone who went to the carnival and everyone who worked there had a fairy who lived in their closet. I was a fairy in my dream. My soon to be ex-husband's fairy. Everyone was dressed in costume. The dream was silent and I followed him through out the carnival. We stopped at the game where you take the hammer and hit the thing to make the bell ring. And the only sound i heard was the bell. The dream was really wierd.....What do you think it means?

It means that your unconscious might like fairies. Other than that dreams don't really matter. They are just your unconscious working things out, and sometimes it does it in a strange fashion.

I had a dream about terrorists taking over a hospital. I was on the SWAT team trying to rescue them. We were doing pretty well until we reached the elevator shaft and the terrorists used explosives to destroy the cable. The elevator dropped on the whole group of us and I died. That was 20-30 years ago and I am still kicking. I was never a cop, I have never been a on anything like a SWAT team and I have never been in an elevator shaft. I don’t have any fear of elevators and I have been stuck in them before (not of long though, and well after I had that dream).

I have dreamed in both color and black and white. In one dream I dreamed of a Hot Wheels car, the Spitting Image, on a launch pad all set to take off (hey I was a kid at the time.. Everything was in black and white, except for a red light in the engine compartment. Some how it had lost the two gasoline engines. The ship was poised for take off and waiting for me. I really wanted to know what the power source was. I was working on a science fiction design for a space ship at the time. So I thought the dream was really important; so important that I told my family about it. That dream wasn't important though, I didn't work anything out, or receive any new ideas from it. It was just a dream.

Once I had a dream, a nightmare, that the house was on fire, and the walls were covered in bugs. I was running around the house following the captain (captain of what I never knew). We just ran in circles with the walls burning. Somehow the bugs weren’t getting killed and the house wasn’t collapsing (that’s a dream for you). I like fire, and could be a pyromaniac if I was unstable. When I was a teenager it was my job to start the grill. Once I put on too much lighter fluid and I singed my eyebrows. My mother laughed and laughed, after she got over being worried about me. It didn't turn me off from fire (do you remember the Tom Hanks movie Castaway? "I made FIRE! I made Fire! deep inside every man feels that) . I don't like bugs anymore than the next person, but I wasn't totally grossed out by the second Indiana Jones movie; the one where Kate Capshaw had to stick her hand into the bug covered niche so she could pull the lever that would stop Indiana Jones and Short Round from being pierced and crushed to death.

A dream, is a dream, is a dream. If you worry about them and let them control your life then you are the poorer for it. If you just laugh them off, or put them down to just being something strange then you stay in control of your life.

Now if you are fairy, and you are in the middle of a divorce, and you are deaf, then I would start to wonder. But, I don’t think any of it really matters. If it did matter how could you respond: not wear a fairy costume? Or maybe you will have to avoid Ring the Bell games at carnivals. I doubt if those will make a difference. Otherwise your dream was just an odd one.

Fairy = fantasy being = denial
Carnival = place to have fun = imagination, good times
sound of bell = alert of what's have been done, completion, finish

Seems like you have this regret or guilt conscience about your ex husband. Yes, it is from your subconscious mind. You won't know it in reality. However, being a fairy means that you are into some sort of denial. It could be a denial of his fault or your fault about the separation. Projecting carnival in your dream suggests that you had good times with your ex husband. And you somehow try to deny that in your dream. Having the sound of the bell translate to be an alert that you realized about what you have done. You want to get it over with and you know it is over. That is the sound of the bell. it symbolized "finish"

Seeing a fairy in your dream means joy and happiness in your surroundings. It may also represent a feminine qualities and aspects of yourself. Seeing a sad fairy in your dream, symbolizes loss of love or money, or both.

These mystical, magical creatures are a part of European, Roman and Greek folklore. They are known for their fickle nature, for their ability to grant wishes and for their whims of trickery. Fairies have a capacity for malice, their tools are wands and rings and they can generally be found in groups of three. The idea of three fairies is at times interpreted as representing childhood, adulthood and old age, or birth, life and death. Fairies may be called the "mistresses of magic" and they may symbolize the extraordinary powers of the human spirit and our fundamental capacity of imagination. Alternatively, we may want to hold on to beliefs in magical powers that will save us from ourselves. In order to be well-adjusted human beings, we need to adapt to our environment and accept our limitations. The fairy in your dream may be interpreted according to the details of the dream and according to your current issues or developmental dilemmas. Is the fairy in your dream giving you hope by encouraging you to be creative and resourceful, or is she playing tricks on you and perpetuating your desire to be saved by magic?
