How many times you can lift it. If you want a real workout, press 50 lbs. 50 times. It is harder than it sounds.

Depends on what you're after. If you are looking for brute strength and big muscles, lift heavy weights a few times. If you are looking to improve your endurance, tone your body and get some cardiovascular advantage, work with light weights for a long period of time.

the stronger u get, the more weight u can lift. but u have to build up to it. now when u get to the point where u can lift the heaviest weight u have been lifting,for reps more than 10 then it's time to go on to more weight. u get stronger gradually.
