It is ridiculously hard to get in to college on a football scholarship.
You must A: Impress your high school coach enough to recommend you.
B: Impress college recruiters who might come to visit.
C: Consistently put up Big numbers, because there are only 119 D1 college teams, and probably twenty million high school football players.
D: Always smile. Smiling shows a good temperment, which these days is a Huge deal.

Very. Think about it, every kid on every D1 roster was the best player on his HS team. Most DI roster spots are scholarship, colleges basically PAY these guys to play for their school. You have to be the best of the best.
Having good genes helps a lot too... There arent too many spots on a D1 roster for 5'8" 165lb guys... hahaha

my nephew plays high school football and has been scouted since he was a sophomore all kinds of schools are approaching him but he works hard he s usually on the field the entire game and he does his position well if you work hard and do YOUR job you will get the things you work for
