and not dealing with a lot of people all the time?

There is a big demand for skilled trades people: carpenters, plumbers, roofers, electricians, metal workers, mechanics, auto body work, etc.

In the US I feel the push by so many schools to get young people to college has encouraged this shortage. The schools are more concerned with their statistics of how many of their students go on to higher learning than what is the right choice for them.

If you learn a skill, it stays with you your whole life and you will always be well employed. Some you can start to learn on the job, and there are trade schools for certification in most states. Sometimes employers will even pay for the classes.

Hope this helps :)
