I am in the 8th grade and for the past few years my school has been making up stupid names and sounds and making fun of people by them.I have the most names and have never even done anything wrong to anyone,im the quietest in class. But the teachers nor the principal do anything about it.Are there legal options to make a case against verbal harrasment in South Texas?

Please remember I am an eighth grader and the other kids (same grade)are the ones doing the harrasing.and once they hurt my feelings and I am about to break out crying they say"im just playing".and because of it I have no self esteem.and they all know that in the past 17 months the two most loved people in my life passed away.

tell the teacher or principal. There is a difference between tattling and telling.Tattling is when you want someone to get in trouble.
Teachers are required to take action if a student is harrassed.
As a teacher I will not tolerate it !
If the students curses at you tell the teacher and parents you will file disorderly conduct charges.
We hate compliants from parents ( hint hint )

Got any tapes? Printouts? Witnesses ready to attest to exact names, places, dates and times?
Would those witnesses appear at a deposition? Will they appear in Court?
Have you discussed this, presuming you have names of willing witnesses and the facts and dates of what occured, with an Attorney?
Take notes, get facts, line up some witnesses. AND keep it all absolutely true, and stick to the simple facts, without embellishment!
Then you and your parent(s) or guardian must bring it up before a official in the School Board, in writing, and after no resolution or investigation, no response, you might be able to proceed to a winning resolution... See the Attorney, first.
Don't ask any Yahooligans or yahoodiots!

you mean the adults in the school or the children?
being called names is a normal part of growing up, you have to learn how to deal with it in order to function in society. Besides, once you graduate all those years of torture will fade as you become a member of society, and not just the made up social ladder of highschool.
Iam speaking first hand, i was the one in school that everyone beat up, picked on... i had to sit alone in the cafeteria at my own table because no one would come near me... they stuck gum in my hair, and used toilet paper on my clothes when i wasnt looking, the teachers did nothing...
But trust me, all that torture will make you a better person, so long as you can learn to be forgiving and realize that in real life social status doesnt matter.
All those kids are now jobless and living at home with their parents, despite being in their mid twenties... while iam happily married, buying a house and having the most beautiful baby, and making more than enough money.
They lose, i win. It was worth it.

Talk to your teacher, If they wont do anything about go to the person above them like headmaster(how everelse you call it) If that doesnt work. Talk to your parents.. Moms and Dad can do some damage. Tell you parents how you feel and how they make you feel. Make them listen.
