Gosh this is such an interesting question. How far would you keep reading to get an answer out of it. The longest answer I'll read just depends on the question I guess. For example if the question is a short one with no discription then I'll usually not expect to read a long answer. I mean who would need a long answer for a question with no description. I mean why? But now if the person asking the question provided lots and lots of details and seems really serious about the question being asked then you would defintly think about answering in detail as well, so then a long answer would be appropriate, especially if its about advice that they are seeking. Advice answers are usually the ones that I would really think about reading no matter how long. I feel they are more personal and require more personal attention. The answers that are annoying when they are long are those that have a source then you go to look at the source and it is exactly the same as the answer. Oh I hate that!!! I mean, if you are going to give an answer from your source, just summarize it then include the link. Jeez!!! I wonder how many of you I have already lost with my answer to this. hehehe! Okay so I just thought I'd give a half-page long answer to see who would really read it. So do I get 10 points now? :)

I think it is the mathematical equation of 'pi' that is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to it's diameter. It is 22 divided by 7 and is a constant of 3.14159265358979323846 so on and so on! the answer I believe goes on for ever! I'd need to confirm that, with computers today I could be wrong! Best of luck.
