doesn't exist is hilarious. Even I know the carnal mind can't comprehend the Spirit. When will they satisfy their egos and go away?

I am not a Christian and I do believe in God as well. I think both sides are hilarious. One tries to "prove" this entity doesn't exist by using logic and reason, the other tries to "prove" it does using a book that human beings wrote. I think there's a huge ego problem on both sides. Organized religion is a pain in the butt IMHO, but so are people who are fanatical in the other direction. I resent Christian interference in our secular laws, but that's a whole 'nother topic.

I'm Christian and believe in God, but I always contemplate how people refuse to recognize a higher being - any higher being because they are scared of not being in control. I am also a science major in college and people hold fast to what they can see and prove because they think it is logical and to some extent it is, but what about all those things that can't be seen or tangibly felt? They can't handle it. They'll never go away because as long as there are mysteries on this earth and man can use science to 'solve' them, they will try to use 'science' to solve God. Sorry buddy.

Great question. I want non-believers to tell me, once all the science is "peeled away" --whatever the theory--who put any of it there? Why were there gases to create a big bang? Why is there a universe?

To deny a power beyond our comprehension is to not get past step one. All the science that explains so much, can't explain why anything was there in the first place.

Hey, I personally think that both sides are ridiculous insulting each other. It does no good to fight, chances are very slim that someone will be like:

"Yeah, that person on Y!A is right. I'm changing my mind and from this moment on, I'll believe exactly opposite of what I have believed because that person told me on the Internet I was wrong".

I know how you feel. But unfortunately, the Bible says this will always be foolishness to those who are lost. God is wonderful, so wonderful that man, in our natural carnal minds simply cannot apprehend His infinite greatness. But boy, oh boy do they try.

All the opposing theories accumulated contain so many inconsistences. Since we can't understand it, we try to work around it. But who can explain how the world was created? If you think about it, if people had to admit he was real, the foundational truths of their lives would be changed.

Yup, they sound as foolish as Christians trying to quote a 2000 year old book to prove he does exist.

Do people believe in the wind? We cannot see it but there is plenty of evidence to prove that it exists and is real right!

I also believe in God but am not Christian. I don't get as annoyed with the atheists as I do with Christians. Christians think they're right, you're wrong, and you'll burn in hell for it. That annoys me. If Jesus loves everyone, then he should love me even if I don't believe he's God. (I do believe Jesus existed) But, I also think everyone is entitled to their own opinions as long as they aren't forcing me to try to believe them (as many Christians do and the atheists in your case)
