A Yahoo search for "vintage sewing machines" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 66,800 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek.

Good luck with your search.

You should make sure you keep it, because any of the newer brands will break down long before that one does. I use the machine my mother left me, bought right after the second world war. It never needs anything but the occasional dusting out and greasing. And I always know how to do this, because the instructions were still in the drawer, when I inherited it. I fully expect to leave this machine to my own daughters when I die as well.

I have a 1950 that belonged to my Mother and she gave it to me. It still works beautifully. I wouldn't trade it for all the new machines in the world. It's only worth what a person is willing to pay. You could check on Ebay.
