Take I-4 WEST (I-4 runs east/west, not north south!) all the way to Tampa..i-4 will turn into I-295 once you reach Tampa.. follow 295 South until you see signs for Clearwater. Take the Clearwater exit which is Route 60 west! Don't follow the signs for the airport, just stay in the lane that says Clearwater... once you get to Clearwater, you can either turn left or right.. left takes you to many resorts and beaches, to the right takes you to local housing and some hotels and beach access, etc.
approximate travel time 2 hours.

Sure! Simply take the I-4 south toward Tampa. Follow signs to Clearwater. I also highly recommend driving about another 30-40 minute south and visiting Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota! It's even nicer then Clearwater. :)
Have fun!

Take 60 West, all the way, takes you straight there. I live there, run Memorial Bridge, which you will drive over. Follow signs, real easy.
