First of all. Think of the ramifications of what you are doing in the long term. Leaving family and friends and the distance you are from them! (2) Culture shock. (3) Once married there is a procedure that has to be followed to the letter of the US law. (4) It takes quite a while to cut through the "redtape". (5) A Green Card takes a long time to process and citizenship is 5 years after that. (6) See a good immigration Lawyer.

My mother is from Scotland, my father is an American, they were married in Scotland 52 years ago, she fills out a legal alien form every year, she did not automatically become a U.S. citizen, she has a U.S. Green Card or also called an Immigrant Visa, their offspring have dual citizenship, she has chosen not to become a U.S. citizen, but if she wanted to become a citizen, she would still have to apply for U.S. citizenship.

There is a naturalization process, a lot of paperwork, fees, and time. In some cases you won't be allowed to be inside the country during the process either.
To avoid all that just walk across the border or overstay your visa like everyone else. Apparently it's not illegal.

You would have to go through naturalization, and have immigration be up in your business. After a few years you can become a citizen.

Yes you will become a citizen, but you still have to go through the legal process but I think it will be a bit different.

Yes, you will have to. It will take 2-3 years coz you will have to go thru security check and all those questions. Of course they will give you EAD to work in the US. You can't leave US on EAD, so wait for the paper wok for reentry to US.
EAD is Employment Authorization Document
