It keeps buzzing, everytime I start it up, and it never starts up correctly. I've had this problem before, and have been able to fix it. However, I'm not sure now if it is the hard disk itself or the CPU fan or other cooling fans. It is a laptop, if that make a difference. Please, if you can, tell me what I can do to fix or trouble shoot this problem. I'm technically advanced, so I would know the "lingo". Thanks in advance guys :)

I would definitely check all fans, and the hard drive next
Laptops, being very cramped for space are a lot tougher to fix.

To test the Fans, carefully stop each one with a pencil or pen for a few seconds. If the buzzing goes away then you have found your problem. Similarly unplug your hard drive then turn your computer on. If it is the Fan then the buzz will still be there. If it is the hard drive then it will not.

If it's an Apple notebook, then that's a typical defect. You should be able to get it repaired or replaced pretty quickly.

Have you cleaned it yet? Physically and done a Virus scan?

You know about DOS right?
