My period did come today but it's light, I had bad cramping around the time I was ovulating and my cramps are a little bad today but could this be a sign?

You said "was 1 day late". This means you are now having your period so you are not pregnant.
If you are concerned about becoming pregnant you have 2 options. #1 stop having sex, #2 use protection, make him wear a condom, get yourself on the pill. I do mean both because you get back up on the pregnancy protection and you also get disease protection and it sounds like you need both.
Don't let any social worker, priest, pastor, doctor or anybody talk you out of the protection, not even your pimp if that is the situation. If you are a minor, everything is still valid. If your parents object, just tell them that they will soon be grandparents if they don't let you have the pill. You can still get the condom despite anyone's objections.

Yep, there's a chance if you have put your self in a postion to get pregnant. My advice is wait a few days and see if your period comes, then if there's still no sign, do a pregnancy test- that'll be far more accurate than the predictions of a bunch of strangers who aren't aware of the full story behind the question you just asked.

Ive never really put much into "signs or symptoms" because they can mean anything really.. If you are already one day late you can take an over the counter test and you should get an accurate result.

Periods are never exactly punctual every single time. I think that a hardly late period would be the last thing to consider when you think you're pregnant.

if you had unprotected sex, YES there is a good chance. If you don't get your period in a day or two I would take a test. You could probably take one now, it would probably show up.

there is always a chance when your late but I'd wait til your missed a whole cycle and than I'd worrie and if you can't wait, don't wait to go see your dr and practice safe sex
