Let's see, if they listened to the law in the first place, they wouldn't have anybody to run from. Criminals don't obey the law. That's what makes them criminals. They know they broke the law and don't want to face the consequences of their actions. They've been taught by society that it's not their fault that they did something wrong, it was society that made them do it. So why should they have to pay for it? And they know the only way to not pay for it is to not get caught. To not get caught, they have to run.
Sure, people can say that innocent people run because they're afraid of the cops, but I've never once seen an innocent person run. Even if all they are guilty of is not having a driver's license, they are still guilty of something. And they think putting everyone else on the road in danger is worth them not getting that $200 ticket that they deserve. Someone who is really innocent of any wrongdoing will not run. There are others who run, thinking the cops know what they really did, when the officer was just trying to stop them for speeding or an expired tag or whatever.
Also, the expression "Stop in the name of the law!" is a leftover from a few decades ago. That was the phrase the police used on a fleeing felon before they were authorized to shoot the felon to stop them from getting away. In the case of Tennessee v. Garner in 1985, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the police could not use deadly force to stop an unarmed fleeing felon, as this violated the 4th Amendment by an unreasonable seizure of that person. The case was about a Tennessee law that allowed police to use deadly force against any fleeing felon after they had delivered notice of intent to arrest the person. Many other places had similar laws, hence the common use of phrases similar to "Stop in the name of the law!" or "Stop, or I'll shoot!".
Back then, few felons risked running after that warning when they knew there was a good chance that the next thing coming after them would be a bullet. They didn't figure it was worth their life to try to run. In modern times, most people know that the police can't shoot an unarmed person. They know that, at most, they will get a little time added to whatever sentence they get for what they already did.
I agree with the Supreme Court on the issue, I just mention it as a possible reason why running from police is more common now than it used to be.

Wow, i understand what you mean! i bypass to my community library, and in basic terms scanning the titles i can locate no longer something that truly hobbies me. Granted, that's a small place interior the process nowhere, yet all the extra modern-day books do look approximately forbidden love or vampires. i'm extra of a myth/journey/sci-fi individual and that i won't be able to locate something even remotely close. There are usual fads at the instant, of course the vampires from the Twilight craze. numerous issues have been written earlier, even nonetheless that's putting that twist on it that makes some thing unique and exciting. i attempt to jot down some thing that appeals because of the fact of that.

Because they think they can get away. Don't be fooled by the show COPS, it's harder but people do get quite often get away. And in the mean time, while running they can get rid of the evidence against them. TV wants to make you think that you will get caught every time, it makes it easier for the cops. But do you know how much wieght a cop usually has on him while on duty whereas the guy running is usually just wearing light clothes.

Cause the law is chasing them. That never worked in the past. Why should they listen to the law if the law is who they're trying to run from.
Oh I see, you're talking about the innocent ones. You've going beyond innocent. Everyone is a crook.

Because too many people realize the law is not fairly applied.
Those in power get to break or ignore the law with impunity, and those who don't have power get beaten up by the law far beyond what the offense often calls for.

Because more often than not, if they're running from the law, then they have something to hide. That's not a good situation because it just compounds the problems when caught.'

Because more and more "laws" are being created and enforced that the majority of the public doesn't agree should be laws in the first place.

They feel that they have nothing to loose and it is a game in their own minds.
They don't think of anyone and worst of all they don't even seem to care about themselves.
