I think 13 or 14 is young, but 18 years old is just too much. I'd say more around the age of 16...

I think 13-14 is too young to date. I'd let a 16 year old date though. I think 18 is a little over the top to make her wait that long.

I've got a 14 y/o and two 13 y/o daughters. They aren't allowed to date as such. But if they like a boy then he is allowed to come over to the house and hang out with us. Or I will take them to the movies, to eat, or to play mini golf something like that. But I stay with them at all times. I would let them actually go on a date at 15, if I knew the boy as well as any parent can. Other wise 16 is the magic number in my household as long as grades stay straight A's. I would love to wait untill they were 18, but that just isn't realistic.

There is a reason why, in the majority dating starts at 16. Personally, at 16, it is no secret why even then that's too young. So, I will assume that those that start dating at 16, have been raised with self respect and understand the risks involved should they give in to peer pressure.
In my opinion, the only reason a child would be allowed to date any earlier is because the parents are usually too self absorbed to pay attention, don't give a damn about their kids future, would rather be a kids friend than a parent, or are in a hurry to become grandparents.
So, thank you parents for allowing your kids to date too young. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have to provide them with welfare, food stamps, medical care, and up keep in the overcrowded jail systems and family protective service. We are so honored to be able to fix and maintain your mistakes.

The only dates my girl went on at 14 was chaperoned by me or her Dad or both..at 16 she was set free, once we knew the guy and his background check cleared..(Dads idea)at 18 we let her be the judge for the most part but dad had a harder time latting go than I did..My girl is very smart & to this day she has made wise decisions on many things..so guess it really depends on the maturity levels too..=)

howdy, properly because of the fact that your the girl thats older then him by ability of three years i might say specific a sprint yet its no longer undesirable. Now if he became turning 17 and you have been 14 then it would be diverse he's in basic terms a boy.The boy is the single that would desire to be there for you no remember what and because he's so youthful i'm afraid he wont understand and be there for you:( i'm sorry yet while its meant to be then it is going to take place.

Define date. Hanging out with Boys at 13 and 14 and flirting can be harmless. Going steady is another thing. There is interacting with the opposite sex, flirting, having a crush, puppy love, dating and going steady. Which are you concerned about?

I agree that 13 and 14 year old girls are too young to be dating.... I think they should be at least 16 before they are allowed to date and with strict limitations set. Curfews, etc...

Yes! I think it is totally ridiculous to let a 13 or 14 year old date! Kids those age dont even know what the word "love" means! (lol) My daughter is going into 7th grade and she says girls were dating boys in 5th and 6th grade! How ridiculous is that?? It makes you think if there parents even know what there doing. Its crazy how totally brainless parents can be sometimes.
