and the bios info comes up when she shuts down her comp,this should not happen, how can get rid of the bios info on start up and shut down so it wont show

oh by the way, her comp is about 8 or 9 years old..i`m over there at least once aweek, trying to fix it

Run windows XP. Get a new computer. If she is reseting bios each time she boots means she needs a new system battery to hold the bios information when the system is shut down.

If you enter the BIOS settings on startup there may be some options like Quick Boot or Disable Info or something like that which will make that screen disappear.
