I agree with infinitenull. The brand really doesn't matter, except for lifetime warranty vs 1 year. Also cheaper brands are usually have higher CAS latency than better brands like corsair and crucial. Check the CAS latency specs when you purchase the RAM. The lower the CAS the better the performance.

Some motherboards are finicky about what memory will work. Many brands of motherboards have forums where you can select your particular model and read the experiences of other users. Crucial is one of many good brands of memory; but check for your motherboard's compatibility first.

Your best bet is to go to a website called WWW.Crucial.com. they specialize in Memory for all computers. there is a link there to examine your computer and tell you what memory you can use.

The only thing you have to worry about is what kind of RAM your motherboard supports. You can check the documentation that came with your PC for that. It should tell you in the manual for your motherboard.

check your motherboards manual, it states what memory are compatible to your desktop.... if you loss it check your motherboards brand and then search on internet..
