I agonised over what to name my children, but all the names I chose didn't suit the little person I met, and had to search for another name after they were born. The name will find the child, not the other way around.

my daughters name is kaya ( said: kiya ) i found it on the back of a bob Marley album when she arrived later that day, she just looked like a kaya, we didn't have a name but she just was a kaya.
kaya means peace love and serenity, its is also a song by bob Marley, performed by bob Marley and the wailers, and more recently by Damion marley .and apparently it also means African princess.
her middle name is jade ,she is 13 now and i have only ever heard her name once , when i was working in a shop some lady was shouting her name , when i stopped her asking why she was looking for my daughter she explained that her 2yr old was called kaya jade, so long story short , kaya is a beautiful name and can be converted to suit a boy, kayous ( said : kiyous ) and up to now it isn't over used, good luck : )

Just dont call it after were it was concieved, like the Beckhams, firstly your kid will never be able to go there without being creeped out, and secondly if you know the exact location you should get out more, or have more sex, or both.
And leave all things like Peaches, Apple Blossom, etc well alone, it will stop a lot of tears being shed for being bullied.

Best choose your own name for your baby it will be around you a long time. But stick to classic names like Harry or Alice Adam Mary, they do not date and go out of fashion.

Write down names that you like then go through each one and imagine shouting for them, and how they would cope with it growing up through school, work etc.
Other people wait until they are born and see what they look like and choose a name that suits them.
Some choose a sensible name, but choose a different way to spell it.
My first child, we chose the name, the second we let our son choose it.

I always wished my mom and dad would have taken their time when selecting my name. Deb... uggg... what were they thinking? There is a neat site with thousands of names to search. I've put the link below.
