God (or dog spelled backwards to you) would approve of anything that does not harm another living being. So, danged straight, his Lordship approves but not at the expense of a well-executed backdoor cut to set up the slam. The Big Man loves fundamental basketball.

Yes, why wouldn't he? Do you think it is due to the action considered as "show-boating" to some people? It isn't. If it were used to harm someone, it wouldn't be a good thing, but the slam dunking itself isn't a problem, the talent to do so isn't a problem.

I think god has been known to dunk the ball once in a while himself!
