It has also been a rebillion against the government. People calling it satanic even though most of it is not. Heavy Metal is based on talent and is amazing in the simplest words. Strong, powerful, and hard beats on the drum, fast and quick tempos on the guitars, a good bass line, and a talented vocalist (Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, Gene Simmons of KISS, Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath and his solo carrer, Rob Zombie, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, and so many others). Rap is based on a poem and a synthesizer. It gets rarely deeper musically than that. There are usually never any instruments and when there are they are very limited usually relying a bass drum or bass guitar. Heavy metal is just so much more complex, interesting, and diverse musically.
Rap relies on lyrics about drugs, sex (rape in some cases), violent brutal murders of a *****/hoe, and demeaning women (or as they call them their bitches). Heavy metal speaks on a much deeper level with themes speaking on issues of war, nuclear annihilation, environmental issues, social issues, politics/goverment beliefs, religion (and not just satanism as is the sterotype, but other religious themes are present), and political or religious propaganda. And instead of most rock saying life is all about love and peace and happiness, heavy metal is realistic speaking more on the negative aspect of life, that everything does not always work out in a loving, peaceful, happy way in life. And that is true. Heavy metal is truth in it's center. It deals in dichotomies of light vs. dark, hope vs. despair, good vs. evil, love vs. hate, peace vs. war, etc. And almost always the core of heavy metal is the reality of human life and how humans really are. How we are flawed and not perfect. Heavy metal is truth (usually).
I will not deny that in the 80s when glam metal become popular that that was a horrible day for metal and that that was crap in its core. Heavy metal was never meant to be glamorous or pretty and that has been evident sinse Led Zepplin turned up the blues and when black Sabbath down tuned their guitars. Heavy metal has stage theatrics like nothing else. Alice Cooper with his serpent and guilitine. KISS with each of them having their own personia, while there is blood leaking from their mouth, they're breathing fire, and guitars are exploding in their hands. Marilyn Manson with his amazing stage performances to say the least. And then there is so much more. Heavy metal: the music is rebelious, powerful, strong, and just plain amazing, the stage performance is scary and more than any other style of music, and the themes present extend deeper than any other music. Heavy metal therefore is the best.

Rap is what is wrong with youth in America today...
Rock = Jackass stunts and extreme sports
Rap = Slu*ts, Ho's, no respect, objectifying human beings, abuse of culture as gains for only a very few elite "Billionaires boys clubs." While the subjects of the kingdom starve to death and suffer, they pay for the pendants and the pimp cups and the bentleys, in record sales and gear and concerts... the kings and queens feast in their ivory towers while those who worship them really, actually live what they only rap about..
Rap artists are abusive, selfish, oppurtunistic and just a waste of skin. there is little actual talent involved in half of what many of these people do.
The culture is abused and taken advantage of for the personal gain of just a very few.
Rap is a vulture living off the bleached white bones of soul,
