When I have children one day I want them to have hopefully something in Science, or the medical field. I only hope that is something they want to do, or even a great football player (soccer). But if they want to be anything else and none of those. Then I will still be happy. What ever makes them happy is best. Night!

I would choose they are the best at whatever they choose to be. Life is hard. Everyone has to work now. I have a daughter who is leaving for college in a couple of weeks.

I told her to pick something that she can accept and want to do on a daily basis Something she will enjoy rising to and can't wait to go out and achieve. That's a career not a job.

Just as long as she is happy with her decision it's allright with me.

I know she feels overwhelmed because she retains a 4.333 GPA and everyone expects her to be so much, but it's her life and I will love and accept any choice she makes.

The only person you have to live with for the rest of your life is you. As long as you can live with your choices and respect yourself, that's the key to happiness.

Love, peace and hair grease!!!!

Lol, you'd be surprised how many parents don't want to give kids that choice, My child should do whatever he is happy with and can excel at, at the same time. It would be nice to have a child who was a great sportsman, or a prolific artist, singer or revolutionary scientist curing many major diseases...but hey, gota love the kids either way whatever they do, its seeing their precious little faces light up with happiness that really makes you feel successful. And the ultimate success in life really is achieving happiness and inner peace.

it depends on the child if they are great athletes then that's great but academics come first, if they are into science, books etc and don't care 4 sports do not push them into something they are not. I've always told my children whatever they did with their life i would totally support them. my daughter teaches going back her masters right now my son is in his last year at UGA then going into the ministry after seminary school, when he was 3 he wanted to preach then be Tom Brokaw then a rap singer, wk at McDonald's, be a dentist then lawyer he has come full circle and now s doing what he wanted to do as a babe!!! i support my children totally! they are awesome.

OBVIOUSLY science! sheesh! I cant beleive there are some lonely people in the world somewhere in hiding, still chasing after a round lether object like and idiot!lol its kinda sad really. they need some kind of treatment I think. or maybe its easier just to let them be and do their thing until they pop.

I have 2 daughter's, but are already grown, and married. My youngest just had a baby girl. I always told my girls to just do what they want, I never put any pressure on them to be anything. My youngest is a Rep for Keebler, and Kelloggs. She does extremely well, and my eldest works in Nursing. I couldn't be happier. They're both very happy, and content with their lives. ~

I hope they grow up one day to headbutt an opposing team player in the biggest game of his life.

Actually a scientist would be good. Hopefully to help humanity.
