Lip sync isn't really a big deal for me.
Bad voice acting RUINS good anime.
For example, Naruto is unwatchable on Cartoon Network, they didn't even try to pick people that capture the original voices, they all sound like it could be the same 3 people. It's a shame really, American viewers who haven't seen the Japanese version don't know what they are missing.

No one really cares about the lipsync since tis supposed to bein japenese, and its hard to do the eng voices, most real anime fans watch anime in jap since it isnt edited, so most people dont care, the eng version is usually edited really badly and makes teh anime bad, which takes the attention away from teh mouths. The eng voice acting realy really suks for some animes, such as DN Angel, Dark is supposed to be a 17 yearold but sounds like a 5 year old, and Lacus Clyne from Gundam Seed sounds like a little girl, when she looks so much older.

YES, for the love of God yes. English voices are usually very very bad. But it doesn't seem there is anything that we can do about it. the hardcore anime fans don't even watch english dub so the American industry isn't getting enough attention about the bad voices for them to make a change. If you're tired of Bad voiced check out http://www.anivision.us and talk about it or download original Japanese anime (of course english subbed). You can visit without downloading if you just want to chat as well

I only really care about the animation and if they chose the right voice for the character. Its really hard to line up the words right so i dont watch the mouths.
I think they did good with Kenshin, Inuyasha, And Naruto anf some others.
But Anime still rocks my socks.:)

The dubbing is done by English-speaking people in Japan who are not all professionally trained. The game producers just want to get the product out and don't care about the vocal or syncing quality.
For examples, listen to these horrendously awful/hilarious dubs:
