yeah, i just need three 3 things to talk about in a paper im writeing on the pearl. One of the things is greed, anyone know of 2 more things that would go with that?

Well u can talk about ironic juxtaposition, like how they would talk about the song of the family, then they would almost immediately switch to the song of evil or whatever it was called. You can also talk about all the symbolism. Like, the coin that the pearl buyer was flipping (but that would fall into greed...), there was Juana's shawl, which symbolized motherliness, shelter, and was used in lots of different ways. Also, there was Kino's boat...I'm sure you could play around with that a bit.

I read this book numerous times, there quite a number of themes located in this book, not necessarily greed, there are:

alienation
beauty and portrayal - which leads to love
the roles of fate and agency in shaping human life
colonial society’s oppression of native cultures
