Andy Cole did in fact score 5 goals in one match in the 94/95 season against Ipswich Town, which Manchester United won 9-0.
Alan Shearer also repeated the feat in the 99/2000 season scoring 5 goals against Sheffield Wednesday as Newcastle United 8-0
